White Tagboard

Best at-home setup for a product shoot?

I have an assignment given to me by a hardware company. They gave me a box of different doorknobs, hinges, and other things, and they want me to take photos of them. They want them on a plain white background, so they should be simple. Any suggestions on a setup for this shoot? I don’t have any professional lighting so I was thinking to maybe do it outside.. for good lighting, on a couple pieces of white tagboard or something… if anyone has any better suggestions, though, I’d really appreciate them!

you’d do it in black and white exposing the lightning to look like the classics of old photos – kind ogf like movies from 1930′s or 40′s.
make the arrengement correct to show they are 3d and not flat seperated from itself – if you put them the way to show that some of them are in from of and behind of each other – don’t make it flat
