A cruiser-style motorbike, even though it may have had a higher ticket price, might in fact be a less expensive bike to cover than a sport bike. The company assumes a sport bike is more likely to be ridden recklessly. This may seem unfair, but it is likely a primary deciding factor for determining Suzuki motorbike insurance rates.

2. Driver Stats

This includes the age, driving record, and years experience of the driver being covered. Drivers under 30 will likely pay a higher premium, due to the statistics gathered by the state department. Basically, the insurance company wants to know how much you will use the bike, how far you will drive on a daily basis, and where the bike will be stored. If you are a “weekend warrior,” using the bike for pleasure only, the rates will likely be lower. But using it for your daily commute, 85 miles each way will equal higher rates.
